Review:
I don't think that I could say enough good things about this film.
It is extremely refreshing! And I'm anxious to watch it for a second time.

It is sorta difficult to watch, with all the tight spaces.
Very thrilling, exciting, and scary. Very refreshing plot. The ending leaves for plenty of interpretations.

Definately take the time to see it!!!

Fahrenheit 9/11

Written by:
Michael Moore

Directed by:
Michael Moore

Made in:
USA in 2004

Actors:
--

Plot:
In this film, muckraker Michael Moore turns his eye on George W. Bush and his War on Terrorism agenda. He illustrates his argument about how this failed businessman with deep connections to the royal house of Saud of Saudia Arabia and the Bin Ladins got elected on fraudulent circumstances and proceeded to blunder through his duties while ignoring warnings of the looming betrayal by his foreign partners. When that treachery hits with the 9/11 attacks, Moore explains how Bush failed to take immediate action to defend his nation, only to later cynically manipulate it to serve his wealthy backers' corrupt ambitions. Through facts, footage and interviews, Moore illustrates his contention of how Bush and his cronies have gotten America into worse trouble than ever before and why Americans should not stand for it. IMDB

Review:
I love Michael Moore's work.
Not because he is a democrat (because he isn't - he is an independent).

This is a fantastic documentary.
Those who are supporters of Bush will probably not watch or like this film. But I strongly recommend it for everyone. Even if you don't like Michael Moore, watch it for those who have gone to Iraq.

I cry from start to finish of this film.
I wish everyone could see it.
We have a wonderful DVD copy, and I recommend buying it.
Not only do I recommend this, but I recommend all of Michael Moore's work.

Banned in Kuwait.

Review:
An amazing movie.
We picked this up a long time ago, Fredrik said it was very good, and it is an incredible movie!

I am not a Russell Crowe fan, but I could tolerate him for this movie.
Definately a movie worth seeing. Very much like American History X.
Very entertaining.

After being romantically involved with Romper Stomper co-star 'Jaquline McKenzie', Daniel Pollock (a heroin addict) threw himself under a train after filming was finished.

Excellent for children and entertaining for adults. It was able to hold my attention, and it was funny in several places.

Not perfect, it was an okay film, I think it was good - but it could have been better.

IMDB

Review:
A very different role for Robin Williams, and he does a fantastic job.

I do like this movie, it is very strange, and odd, and does a great job of showing the maddness of the main character, Sy.

I don't think the movie is perfect, because I always think things can be darker than they are, but it gets pretty close.

I definately recommend the movie, especially even those that aren't fans of Williams.

Dash Mihok .... Jason Evans
Jay O. Sanders .... Frank Harris
Sela Ward .... Dr. Lucy Hall
Austin Nichols .... J.D.
Arjay Smith .... Brian Parks
Tamlyn Tomita .... Janet Tokada
Sasha Roiz .... Parker

Plot:
This movie takes a big-budget, special-effects-filled look at what the world would look like if the greenhouse effect and global warming continued at such levels that they resulted in worldwide catastrophe and disaster, including multiple hurricanes, tornadoes, tidal waves, floods and the beginning of the next Ice Age. At the center of the story is a paleoclimatologist (a scientist who studies the ways weather patterns changed in the past), Professor Jack Hall (Quaid), who tries to save the world from the effects of global warming while also trying to get to his son, Sam (Gyllenhaal), who was in New York City as part of a scholastic competition, when the city was overwhelmed by the chilling beginnings of the new Ice Age. In addition to all of the other challenges Dr. Hall faces, he's also going against the flow as humanity races south to warmer climes, and he's nearly the only one going north... IMDB

Review:
Actually not a bad movie.
I didn't think this would be worth anything at all, and it really isn't that bad. It could be a lot worse. Not saying it is "good," but it isn't horribly, horribly bad.

The acting isn't too over the top until near the end, then it gets a little cheesy and silly. The plot is a little silly considering, but if you look past that and only see it from the entertainment value, it isn't too bad.

The effects are pretty good.

Could have been much better, but not too bad.
It works if you are really bored.

Instead of this you could watch the SouthPark parody called, "Two Days Before the Day After Tomorrow." Priceless. :D

Won-sang Park
Seon-gyun Lee
Nae-sang Ahn

Plot:
This Korean horror film is set towards the end of the Vietnam conflict. The basic plot is that a platoon of Korean soldiers went missing at R-Point, a former French plantation in Vietnam. A new group of soldiers is sent to investigate the disappearance after a radio message is received from the missing squad claiming they are still alive. There are two amazingly creepy scenes in it and, although it owes a lot to John Carpenter's THE THING when it gets down to a few guys left, it keeps up the intensity. IMDB

Review:
A fantastic movie!
I absolutely love South Korean horror! (It is not a war movie, that is just the setting, it is a very scary movie.)
Scary and very intense. The plot is fresh and exciting, and very, very scary.

It seems impossible because.. if robots can break those laws, there's nothing to stop them from taking over the world, as humans have grown to become completely dependent upon their robots. Or maybe... they already have? Aiding Spooner in his investigation is a psychologist, Dr. Susan Calvin (Moynahan), who specializes in the psyches of robots. IMDB

Review:
I was sceptical about this movie, but it is actually pretty good!
A serious role for Will Smith, and he does a great job with the movie, too.
I didn't think I would like the plot, either, but I recommend this movie.

Review:
A slightly confusing movie, like most Japanese films.

It has good scare appeal, but surprisingly I think the American remake is better. I usually prefer originals, especially Asian originals over American remakes, but the remake I like better than this. This is still a good film, and worth watching, but it is confusing.

Review:
**Warning**

Not a movie for everyone.. or rather.. a movie for very few. :/ :)

This is my type of "movie." And it really isn't actually a movie, this is as probably as close to a snuff film as you can get, though, without having the real thing.

Bloody, gory, nasty, cruel, loads of torture... actually a very tasteless piece of film... And I love it. :D

Banned in Australia.
Language is Japanese. But you don't need subtitles or text, because nothing anyone says is important, there are mostly just screams of agony anyways...

If you have any kind of a weak stomach, please stay away. There is a reason why there is no director listed or actors, etc.. etc...
This is not a real movie, just 43 minutes of torture.

Review:
An okay movie, nothing spectacular. A few known faces. Actually funny in many parts but not a very scary or a particularly thrilling plot.

The sequal to Dawn of the Dead?

Not really a movie for me. For a zombie movie, it takes itself WAY too seriously. Zombies evolving.. I dunno.. :/

Not horrible, but not a "Hurly" zombie movie.

Plot:
A New York anthropologist, named Professor Harold Moore (Robert Kerman), travels to the wild, inhospitable jungles of South American with two local guides to find out what happened to a documentary film crew which disappeared nearly a year earlier while traveling into the same jungle, called the 'Green Inferno' to film a documentary about reputed cannibal tribes. After a long search and encountering a few primitive tribes, Professor Moore finds the remains of the crew and several reels of their undeveloped film. Upon returning to the USA, Professor Moore views the film in detail featuring the travels of the director Alan Yates (Gabriel York), his assistant Faye Daniels (Francesa Ciardi), and cameramen Jack Anders (Perry Pirkanen) and Mark Tomaso (Luca Giorgio Barbareschi) venturing into the jungles where the inexperienced, street-wise film group, after finding the indigenous tribes to docile for their film, decide to push them for kicks, with drastic consequences. Review:
This is the Queen of all Italian Cannibal movies!

Outstanding effects, the charming, horribly dubbed English, fun music, and the best cannibal plot possible.

If you only ever see one, let it be this one.

Banned in: Australia, Singapore, Norway, Iceland, UK (until 2001), probably banned in Sweden.

Language is dubbed into English.

Some fun facts:

  • The special effects in the film were so realistic that director Ruggero Deodato reportedly had to go to court and prove that it was just make-up and fake blood and guts.
  • The animal slaughterings in the movie were real, which resulted in the movie's being banned in its native Italy.
  • The film caused some scandal in Italy at the time, and had trouble with the censorship board. There was a rumor that the performers had really been slain, so director Ruggero Deodato had to take the actors with him to the set of an Italian TV show in order to prove that they hadn't been eaten alive.
  • The in-film-documentary "The Last Road To Hell", which features several executions, consists of authentic footage supposedly from Uganda.
  • This movie has gained the title of the most notorious movie of all-time, holding the world record for the movie banned in the most countries (in almost 60 countries).

A Kansas City waitress (Renee Zellweger) with dreams of becoming a nurse becomes delusional after seeing her no-good car salesman husband (Aaron Eckhart) murdered. Becoming delusional from shock, she becomes convinced that she is the former fiancee of her soap opera idol (Greg Kinnear). What she also believes is that the soap opera is real and goes to LA to find the hospital where he works as a cardiologist. Meanwhile, her husband's murderers (Morgan Freeman, Chris Rock) are searching for the drugs stolen by her husband and, as luck would have it, they are stored in the trunk of the car she drove off in. Freeman, an aging hitman planning his retirement after this job, also becomes delusional about the woman he is tracking. IMDB

Review:
I used to like this movie. But now I don't like it so much.

Renée Zellweger just scares me now with the anorexia and she looks like a freak, so I think she is slightly psycho.

And the crazy in-love obsession that Morgan Freeman's character has with Betty is scary, freaky, and annoying.

So, if it is on, watch it, but not something to go out of your way for. It is shown on Swedish TV ALL THE TIME.. which also makes the movie more annoying.

One of my most favorite movies of all time!

A definate recommendation for all Americans, especially if you were in band. A movie dedicated to all the forgotten music teachers. And very masterfully done.

I sob through the entire movie.

Review:
Hilarious movie! I'm surprised that I had never heard of it until recently (from the SouthPark Studios website).

I definately recommend it for everyone. There is so much funny stuff in this movie! But you need to pay attention!

It is pretty long though, 1h40min., which surprised us. But the songs are magical. :D

It probably could have been even funnier, but I think for his first movie, it isn't too shabby. ;)

A typical Italian cannibal movie.
The typical plot, music, and wild animal scenes.

Not a bad movie. Better than Zombi Holocaust! But not the best cannibal movie. Skip this and go on to Cannibal Holocaust.

Review:
Not as good as other Italian cannibal movies. Why is it Zombie Holocaust, anyways? There is like 1 zombie and 50 cannibals, but anyways...

The music isn't as good as other movies in the genre. The acting isn't as bad, the plot is a little stale, and the effects are horrible. More silly than most Italian cannibal movies.

Not as entertaining as other movies like it. Skip this and go on to Cannibal Holocaust.

Language is in Italian, but we had a dubbed version.. like most Italian cannibal movies.

A classic!
You can't find a movie as scary as this. Scary, thrilling, and extremely entertaining.

No one could have played Jack better than Jack Nicholson.

I don't think anything in this movie could be any more perfect than it already is.

If you haven't seen it, this one is a must!!
